The Variety of Benefits with Dental Implants

If you have decided on dental implants, congratulations! You’re one step closer to getting a more confident smile. In fact, dental implants are a great way to improve your smile if you are experiencing missing or unhealthy teeth. However, dental anxiety can make any restorative process nearly impossible for some individuals. To simply put, fear of surgical procedures like dental implant surgery can make the procedure very uncomfortable. Thankfully, dental implant procedures are a common practice, and are very safe, painless, and have a lot of benefits.

First and foremost, dental implants serve as a permanent solution for patients who have lost a tooth due to decay or a facial injury. In fact, dental implants decrease the possibility of bone loss and the look and function of natural teeth. This function can allow you to eat easier, eliminate discomfort, and improve your self-esteem by giving back the smile you’ve always wanted.

Dental Implants can prevent facial sagging and premature aging

As dental implants can prevent bone loss, they can also prevent facial sagging for people who have all or many of their teeth missing. Dental implants can prevent this from occurring. When the tooth roots are left un-replaced, your face can begin to sag as bone mass deteriorates.

Dental Implants prevent bone loss

A durable titanium post is surgically placed into your gum and jawbone. The dental implant replaces the root as well as the tooth, and chewing is restored to normal, it provides the needed stimulation for natural bone growth.

Dental Implants behave like natural teeth

One of the biggest advantages of an implant is that it boosts your confidence to smile. A lot of patients say they can’t tell the difference between their implants and their natural teeth. More importantly, a dental implant provides full chewing power that allows you to eat completely normally.

Dental Implants can last a lifetime

Dental implants are designed to be permanent. This is because implants interface with your jawbone, becoming bonded with the surrounding bone through osseointegration. Which is a fusing process that takes place while a patient heals from dental implant treatment.

All in all, dental implants do more than replace your missing teeth.  They help maintain and strengthen bone structure, provide the ability to chew food, and give you the confidence to smile. Without a doubt, dental implants are the best solution for simulating the feel, look, and function of a set of natural teeth.

My girlfriend told me to go to Dentist of Lake Mary. She’d had a great experience, and so did I. I wasn’t convinced when I first went, but the staff and services were great. The dentist didn’t do anything without telling me exactly what was going to happen. Each new step was explained in detail. I don’t like dental visits but this was definitely my best experience yet. I won’t go anywhere else.

A friend recommended Dentist of Lake Mary. That’s why I went. I wasn’t expecting anything different from any of the other dentists I have gone to. But was I pleasantly surprised. I’ve already had a really good experience during my first couple of my visits there. From the front desk to the doctors and staff, everyone is beyond friendly and patient. I’m sticking with Dentist of Lake Mary.

Every member of the staff at Dentist of Lake Mary was informative, friendly and helpful. Even though it was my first visit, the dentist went out of the way to make sure I knew what was going to happen and was there anything else the staff could do to make me more comfortable. The dentist explained every step in detail. Since I was having a root canal, I was very nervous, but everyone at Dentist of Lake Mary made sure I was OK. Just a great atmosphere and vibe in the office, and that’s a first for me at a dentist’s office.
