Follow these directions before receiving anesthesia
Observing these protocols will benefit patients and the dental staff:
No eating or drinking for at least 8 hours before surgery.
No smoking for at least 12 hours prior to surgery.
You must be accompanied to the procedure by a spouse, partner, friend or neighbor, who will then drive you home after the completion of the procedure. Driving is not recommended for any patient who receives anesthesia for at least 24 hours.
Review daily medications with your dentist, and be sure that you can take medications on the day of the procedure.
